These beautiful estate 6 carat total weight turquoise cabochon studs are vintage circa 1950-1960 and are newly converted from screw back to 14k yellow gold post with push on backs. The posts and backs are both marked 14k. The large oval turquoise are a bright, solid turquoise color with both having light speckles on the backside and one earring have very light speckles on the front - not noticeable unless you are holding them next to each other. 95% of Turquoise used in jewelry has been treated in some way to make it more suitable for wear. This will range from very light stabilizing resin to very treated reconstituted turquoise mixed with resin and reformed by a mold. The treatment level to these vintage earrings are unknown.
