Antique Native American Wool Vest with Old Beaded Pocket Patch Detail. We believe this patch to be older than the vest, aged to around the mid-1800s and may be Nez Perce. The wool appears to be hand dyed indigo blue and red. This vest features a Cloth Lining and rows of decorative Conch Shells, and brass buttons.
Measures 20" Pit-to-Pit and 25" in Length
The vest is in Good Antique Condition. The beaded patch is coming detached (7th pic), there is some damage to the blue fabric on the upper left shoulder as well as the red fabric on the chest (9th & 10th pic), there is some dye transfer (last pic). There is also just normal wear for a piece of this age. This item has been stored with mothballs and will have a mothball smell.
