The Archangel of healing is Saint Michael the Archangel of Healing and Love. In the Catholic religion this is the patron saint of doctors and physicians. In some traditions he is also regarded as the prince of healing, although this is a later belief. In the Christian, Muslim, and Hindu faiths, St Michael is recognized as the archangel who visited the earth to perform healings. He is the patron saint of soldiers, physicians, nurses, travelers, fishermen and artists.

The most well known of all stories about Saint Michael is his appearance to heal a boy who was drowning. The boy was so desperate for life, that even though his father was trying to pull him from the water the archangel was not allowing him to rise. Saint Michael then appeared to the boy and began to heal him. Even though his father tried several different types of treatment during the healing process, none of them worked. The story ends with the father being healed and returning to the surface of the water.

Another account of his appearance reveals that he went to earth to heal a woman who was infested by snakes. She had been abandoned by her husband and was walking alone. The snake-afflicted woman had no hope of recovery and wanted to be treated by the only person she could call on. In the course of an evening Saint Michael visited the woman and healed her.
