De Vity Early to Mid 1900s Oil On Canvas Italian Village Painting in a 14"L X 16"H Gold Gild Frame. The actual painting measures approximately 8"L X 10"H. De Vity was born in Reggio-Talabria in February 1901. He practiced most of his works in Rome, Paris, Sari, Naples, and Florence. There is a visible water stain on the bottom of the wood glued, tan fabric of the frame. This can be cleaned or replaced by a professional framer. It does not affect the integrity of the oil painting. Also, the corners of the fabric frame need a little glue. This frame was added in the early 1980s. There is an autobiography strip on the back of the frame. The painting can be professionally cleaned to increase the value or left as is. See photos.
