Each piece is hand worked. It is individually cast or wrought, hammered, sanded and hand finished. Variations of shading and textures are characteristic of the material and the old world finishing process. Each piece is slightly different. Cracks in wood and discoloration are part of the hand worked process. I found a few tiny scratch marks that may have occurred during moving - see all pictures.
This is a spectacular piece from JB and butterflies have significant meaning to so many.
