Classic mid-century pearl strand dating to approximately the 1950s to early 1960s. Pearls show natural variation in size and shape with a soft, satiny luster consistent with vintage freshwater cultured pearls if authentic. Each pearl is individually knotted and finished with a simple vintage clasp typical of the era.
This piece was inherited from family and stored for a long time. There is a mild, musky vintage odor from storage, not overpowering. Pearls have not been professionally cleaned and are being sold as found. With appropriate cleaning and airing, they are expected to freshen up beautifully.
