This water color painting of a bald eagle in his native environment was commissioned in the 1980s for an Agri Pharm Company that operated in NC in the 1980s.
I talked to the 89 year old artist today. Mr. Balke was not able to give me specifics on the actual year he painted this or the name of the company.
This is an original painting and was reprints were never offered commercially.
This is a rare bit of NC history and a unique example of the the artist 40 some years ago.
