Extremely rare Floris Suc de Lys toner/aftershave/lotion/eau de cologne. It's my understanding that this is one of the last versions Floris ever sold, discontinuing the product in the late 60s/early 70s. Been collecting vintage&antique perfumes for probably 15+years and this bottle is the only one I've ever come across - even in international auctions.
In Victorian times, Floris sold this as a facial toner as Lily extract has complexion whitening and even-ing properties, was very soothing to the skin, and was reportedly good for removing freckles&acne. Amazingly, in the modern era, studies now show there is actually some evidence supporting those claims. This is such a fun piece of haute perfumery history!
Unsure if there is real Lily extract in this aftershave. Faded a bit over the years, but still has a pleasant scent. Very light aftershave-type/eau de cologne scent. Light corrosion to metal lining of cap, but still sits quite tightly. Unused, just evaporated a bit.
