The WAL-EMG-BP-8A-12V from Larson Electronics is an Emergency Battery Bank System that provides failsafe emergency power to job sites. This compact system is designed for portability and reliability within the job site and is ideal for use in rough and demanding conditions. This portable battery backup system allows operators to power a 15 watt 12V DC device, such as a LED handlamps, from the weatherproof battery storage case and will provide up to 90 minutes of operation after line voltage has been cut.
The WAL-EMG-BP-8A-12V is a portable emergency battery backup system for string lights, handlamps and work lights that is contained within a weatherproof plastic case complete with carrying handle and externally mounted L5-15R weatherproof receptacle. This temporary failsafe battery system contains an 8 amp-hour rechargeable battery bank mounted within a weatherproof plastic case. During normal operation, the 120-240V AC input voltage is stepped down to 12V DC and feeds the single weatherproof L5-15R twist-lock receptacles. In the event of a power outage, the emergency cart automatically switches over to the internal 18aH battery bank to power 15 watts of 12V DC devices for a minimum of 90 minutes on battery power. When standard voltage is restored to the battery backup system, the equipment will automatically switch over to constant 12V power and the battery bank will be recharged.
Line-in to the WAL-EMG-BP-8A-12V is provided via 10` SOOW cable terminated in a choice of general area cord cap. A 120-240V AC to 12V DC stepdown transformer provides constant 12V power to low voltage equipment powered by the failsafe emergency system. An 8-amp-hour internal sealed lead acid battery bank provides a minimum of 90 minutes of emergency power for 15 watts of 12V equipment during power outages. 12V DC line-out is provided via one L5-15R twist-lock receptacles with weatherproof case. The entire unit is mounted within a portable and weatherproof plastic case with carrying handle for easy transportation within jobsites.
Please note: 90-minute runtime is based on minimum requirements at 100 watt loads. This accounts for 50% discharge capacity of the battery bank for consecutive recharges. Longer runtimes will be possible with lighter loads. Loads greater than 15 watts may experience runtimes less than 90 minutes.
Case: The WAL-EMG-BP-8A-12V emergency battery backup system is contained within a weatherproof plastic case with a top-mounted carrying handle for easy transportation. The weatherproof case is constructed from durable and long-lasting polycarbonate and a fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate base. The case meets both NEMA 4X and IP67 standards and comes complete with dual stainless steel latches. The case of the WAL-EMG-BP-8A-12V has a continuous gasket when sealed and is designed for outdoor applications and other demanding conditions.
