Signed, first printing of this revised hardcover edition of In This Faraway Land by Orval Eugene Faubus (Pioneer Press, 1993). Signed and inscribed by author on front endpaper. A personal journal of infantry combat in World War II. With illustrations and photographs. Jacket protected in new archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including some chipping, creases and small tears. A few small discolored spots on front cover. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is partially split in a few gutters near beginning and end of book though spine is straight and binding remains quite firm on the whole. All pages clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
