The very old music box is made with meticulous care and attention to every detail.
As you wind up the luxurious music box, you will hear a lovely melody that complements the romantic rococo garden scene on the lid. This is a truly unique and enchanting item that will fill your heart with joy and wonder.
This luxury painting was made for Madame de Pompadour (1721-1764), the official chief mistress of King Louis XV of France and a patron of the arts. She commissioned Boucher to paint a series of four paintings representing the four seasons, each with a different landscape and a different pair of lovers. Madame de Pompadour was a great admirer of Boucher’s style and had many of his works in her residences.
Very old and delicate and lovely.
