Beautiful vintage Italian Florentine cartapesta vase featuring a matte black body with embossed floral designs and hand-applied gold gilt. This traditional papier-mâché composite, known as cartapesta, was widely produced in Florence and other regions of Italy and is prized for its lightweight, sculpted texture, and rich Old World finish.
The vase has a rounded form with scalloped gold banding and raised flowers on each side. A classic Florentine decorative accent perfect for European-style, Tuscan, rustic, or cottage interiors.
